83. Rinse out containers before recycling.

We rinsed out a recyclable container from Dominos. It made the box fit much easier in our recycling box.

It does feel a little disingenuous muddying healthy clean water then pouring it down a drain in order to make a recyclable container more recyclable. Maybe the better ‘rinse’ is done (gleefully) with a wagging tongue… Rex! Goldie! Lassie!

To help you ‘Rinse out containers before recycling,’ here’s a simple 2-step process:

  1. Grab a dry spatula
  2. Embrace the residue, that's food, too.

Your Future You wants you to rinse your current container to create a safe container for you to grow into a cleaner, fuller, and more whole-r you/container. Your Future You can barely contain its excitement, so make sure your excitement container is rinsed to recycle your excitement again and more.

P.S. - It’s been reported that Corporate Housing Companies help ‘Rinse out containers before recycling’ by providing *dishwashers*, because that's an easy (and furnished monthly). Maybe Pizza Hut could use reusable recyclable irresistible pizza box packaging for dishwasher safe living. Or maybe, at this point, we could also just dine in….
