98. Do your shopping digitally.

Shopping digitally does NOT mean ‘five finger discount’ shopping.

Shopping digitally could entail shopping online. However, we think this is just a trendy fad. Just ask the brick and mortar retailers. Hello…hello? (crickets).

There are three popular ways to shop digitally

  1. On a computer - using 0s and 1s (cyber digits)
  2. In person - using fingers and thumbs (manual digits)
  3. Via an App - Sa-Weet! I got her number! (legit digits)

To help you ‘Do your shopping digitally’, here’s a simple 2-step process:

  1. Search for ‘Coupon Code’
  2. Expired? Try another one. (30 min later) Maybe just walk to the store…

Your Future You was reminiscing about the days of yore, when digital shopping meant combing the Yellow Pages to ‘let your fingers do the walking’.  That type of digital shopping was all about the analog shopping.

P.S. - It’s been reported that Corporate Housing Companies help you ‘Do your shopping digitally’ by allowing you to shop for the best furnished monthly rental via computers and phones…and in person - yes, you can tour AND touch the merchandise. (given average stays of 3-4 months, we highly recommend this approach).  If you’re not able to see a property in person, ask for a Digital/Virtual Tour. Our rates, compared to hotels for extended stays, will be another set of legit digits.

98. Do your shopping digitally.

Nothing's more fun than heading downtown to Main Street to get your shop on, but studies show that shopping digitally is better for the environment. After all, you can do it without leaving your home—so, no transportation necessary! Carnegie Mellon University's Green Design Institute food in 2009 that online retail uses less energy and has a third of the carbon footprint of traditional brick-and-mortar shopping.
