Fourth of July in DC

It's nearly that hot, festive time of the year again: The 4th of July is next week! There's nothing quite like the 4th of July in DC, and as DC enthusiasts, we're happy to share our favorite places around town to catch the fireworks and enjoy parades. The weather will be hot, so bring plenty of water wherever you go!
Here are a few of our suggestions for how to celebrate the 4th:
Begin the day by enjoying local parades around the city, including the Barracks Row/Capitol Hill parade (begins at 8th and I Streets Southeast), the National Independence Day Parade (which travels along part of Constitution Avenue) and the Palisades Parade in NW.
Head to the Mall to see Pentatonix, Joshua Bell, Jimmy Buffet, the Beach Boys, and Chita Rivera in concert for A Capitol Fourth celebration.
The fireworks are scheduled to start just after 9 pm, so grab your spot anywhere around the National Mall or find a nearby as well as rooftop bar or sit on the Lincoln Memorial steps.
