13. Opt for energy-efficient light bulbs.

We love and crave natural sunlight and seek out ways to expose ourselves to the sun's warming rays both indoors and outdoors. However, when the sun is taking the night off, you don’t want to stub your toe on that …dresser/nightstand/bowlofcerealleftonthefloor. This is just one (of many) reasons lighting is important. When you do turn on the lights, it’s well documented that energy-efficient light bulbs use less energy… ergo the ‘energy-efficient’ moniker.

To help you ‘Opt for energy-efficient light bulbs,’ here’s a simple 2-step process:

1 - Ask yourself, “How many corporate housing guests does it take to screw in an energy-efficient light bulb?”

2 - Answer: One, and don’t leave a bowl of cereal on the floor. Now go buy energy-efficient light bulbs.

Your Future You already ‘sees the light,’ and thanks you for ‘seizing the moment’ to make sure you opt for energy-efficient light bulbs.

P.S. - It’s been reported that Corporate Housing providers opt for energy-efficient light bulbs, and well, honestly, all buildings, all apartments, and all structures that protect you when the sun is sleeping, should install these bulbs. As referenced last week, Corporate Housing companies provide furnished rentals with mainly energy-efficient light bulbs because a) it saves money, b) it reduces our carbon footprint and c) it gives the sun much-needed rest while we take the night off of work and relax knowing our bowls of cereal will be in the sink/dishwasher/justnotonthefloor.
